Where to Stream the Classic ’80s ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’
A new 'He-Man' is coming. But do you remember the old one?
If you’re already screaming “I HAVE THE POWER” then you already know the good news. If not, allow me: Kevin Smith’s reboot of the beloved 1980s’ staple He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the aptly titled Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1, premieres July 23rd on Netflix. The show will pick up right where the He-Man’s adventures ended back in the day: “After a calamitous battle fractures Eternia, Teela, and an unlikely alliance must prevent the end of the Universe in this sequel to the ’80s classic.” That’s right, no origin story, no multiverses, just trouble in Eternia and a killer cast including Mark Hamill, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lena Headey, and many others. We’ve seen the first five episodes of this new sequel He-Man series and we can say it is truly wild. But how much do you really remember about the show of your childhood?

He-Man Streaming on Hulu
Hulu offers both seasons of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, but it doesn’t come standard with any membership tier. In order to access the show, you’ll need to add the Starz channel to your membership. Starz is available to add on Hulu for $8.99 a month. Free Classic He-Man and She-Ra on YouTube
YouTube has an official Masters of the Universe page, where most of the episodes of the 1980s series are available to watch, alongside She-Ra and The New Adventures of He-Man, to boot. But if you just click on their main page link, it can be overwhelming because in addition to the entire series they also feature several “best of” compilations.
Here’s your hack to getting to the episodes a little bit easier: Season 1 and Season 2 of He-Man are both available on the playlists section of this YouTube page. Just click “playlists” and do an on-page search for the season you’re interested in watching. Then sit back, enjoy, and let Eternia’s strife distract you from the summer heat.
