Alicia Silverstone and Son Go Viral with TikTok Retro ‘Clueless’ Re-creation

All it took for Alicia Silverstone to go viral with her TikTok debut was some prime Clueless dialogue, a bit of Cher attitude, Silverstone in a familiar yellow plaid blazer, a cute boy named Bear, a great 90s song (No Doubt’s “Just a Girl”), and a heap of nostalgia. As if! Yep, Silverstone went there, making her TikTok debut this past weekend with an epic throwback to her 90s classic film. And she made it a family affair, as the aforementioned kid is Bear, her 10-year-old son with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki.

Silverstone struts all Cher-like to “Just a Girl.” She then playfully pushes Bear away when he approaches and puts his arm around her shoulders, a fun re-creation of a popular scene in Clueless. After she declares, “Ewwwww! Get off of me… Ugh… as if!” Bear reenters the shot and receives a warm embrace from his mom.
July 19 will mark the 26th anniversary of Clueless, and Silverstone is now 44 years old (as if, indeed!). The actress, who played the mom of the teenage main character in the recent remake of the 80s cult favorite, Valley Girl, wrote on Instagram, “I guess I’m on TikTok now.”
