Joshua M. Bernstein
Joshua M. Bernstein is a beer, spirits, food, and travel journalist and the fast-typing author of Brewed Awakening, Complete IPA, Homebrew World, Drink Better Beer, and The Complete Beer Course—the revised tenth anniversary edition will be released in June 2023.
Over the last two decades, his work has appeared regularly in newspapers, magazines, and websites, including the New York Times, Men’s Journal, Food & Wine, New York, Wine Enthusiast, and Imbibe, where, as contributing editor, he oversees beer coverage.
Beer Sessions Radio, CNBC, Fox Business, and NPR’s Marketplace have featured him as a beer expert. Bernstein also consults for breweries, bars, and bottle shops and leads tours, tasting seminars, and beer events. He lives with his wife in Brooklyn, surrounded by too many plants and their daughter, Violet. He’s pretty good at keeping things alive and interesting.
