Natty Adams

Nathaniel Adams is an author, designer, journalist, and maker of fine custom clothing. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from New York University where he created his own major studying literature and the history of dandyism and fashion subcultures. He holds a Master of Science degree in Journalism from Columbia University where he won the prestigious Lynton Fellowship for his book proposal on dandyism.

He has co-authored two books on men's style with the photographer Rose Callahan: I am Dandy: The Return of the Elegant Gentleman and We Are Dandy: The Elegant Gentleman Around the World. He has also contributed to the menswear book From Tip to Toe. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Daily Beast, Rolling Stone, The Rake, Harper's Bazaar, the Chap, and Pipes & Tobacco Magazine, among other venues. He is the recipient of the 2013 Dandy of the Year Award from Dandyism.Net. He has spoken on dandyism and menswear at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the Pratt Institute, Parsons School of Design, New York University, TEDx Jersey City, and Disneyworld.

Nathaniel is the owner and creative director of Natty Adams, a custom-suiting company based in New Orleans. His suit designs have been featured at the Rhode Island School of Design.
